Our
Treasure Adventure continues! Today, the Adventure
has been on the point of being discovered... Mrs. Ámbar almost caught us in the
middle of our mission, but thanks to all our pirates, and our two courageous captains,
we managed to invent an excuse to prevent anyone from finding out about our
"Treasure Adventure".
Every day
we are closer to the treasure and little by little you are getting more and
more money.
Remember that this money has a utility, you can use it to get the prizes
that are on the list. When you go to the supermarket to buy a piece of bread, you
deliver several coins in exchange. In this case, when you want a prize, you
must deliver the corresponding amount of money. For this you will have to be
good mathematicians, although I already know that you have brilliant minds.
Today we
have travelled from Ireland to the United Kingdom, where we will know the
origin of the language that we speak so much in class. I can advance you that
it is a really marvellous country, and, although I know that many of you have
already been, we will tell you some peculiarities that make it a particularly
interesting country. For example, did you know that French was the official
language for about 300 years or that there are over 300 languages spoken in
England?
Moreover, many
great writers came from the UK. William Shakespeare, Jane Austin and Charles
Dickens, considered some of the greatest writers of all time, lived in England.
You might have read Roald Dahl’s books. Dahl wrote “Charlie
and the Chocolate Factory” and “James and the Giant Peach.” And of course,
don’t forget J.K. Rowling, author of the “Harry Potter” series.
See you tomorrow. Take care!
Mr. Rodrigo.
